2017 marks the 45th anniversary of the infamous Nike Cortez and we were there for a special event curated by Nike Move Forward winner and owner of Round Two Sean Wotherspoon.
We dropped by the event during the second straight weekend open and from what we hear it will be open every weekend in the month of June no word yet if it will keep going into July. What if we do know however is that this is a beautiful display of Cortez history. From the beat lockers to the airbrushed vibe Cortez mural greeting you as soon as you walk in this will take you back and at the same time show you the future of the infamous Cortez Design.
From what we heard the cortez’s dipped in paint will be available for sale at the end of this month (June). This LIMITED design is inspired by the viral video of Sean (curator and Round Two owner) dipping the Supreme Jordan 5s in orange paint. For now however you can buy any OG cortez on display and also buy a vintage t shirt in the back or a “More Air” t also in the back (10$ for the more air t). There is also a booth to get a custom airbrushed Nike t shirt pretty cool stuff all of this is curated by Sean Wotherspoon a big name in the community.
Bring your friends or come alone however you roll and come experience history, buy some clothes, meet some people, and have a good time!
