Taking inspiration from Tibet for the Fall/Winter 2016 season, Tourne de Transmission exhibited a collection that channeled "a lone figure who has crossed continents; a searcher, wanderer, and a peaceful warrior." Accordingly, the models, who stood in military formation in front of an installation composed of 3000 hand-painted "wind horses" (prayer flags), were swathed in layers and layers of plaids, knits, shearling, distressed denim and felt arranged in flowing, robe-like silhoeuttes.

The "warrior" theme of the collection was substantiated by pieces such as a Vietnam field shirt, and a cropped leather flight jacket, while overtly Tibetan influences included patchwork repaired coats, staggered hems, and a colorful ikat kimono that had sleeves of inconsistent length, in accordance with the Tibetan tradition of having one sleeve longer than the other. Featuring hats by South African milliner Simon and Mary, clip-on eyewear by Ace & Tate, jewelry by Judy Blame, Nixon timepieces, and an ongoing collaboration with classic British punk footwear Kickers, the collection at once communicated a fantastical aesthetic whilst remaining firmly marketable.
